The Super Falcons flew back into the country on Tuesday. They were welcomed and praised by the sports minister and other Nigeria Football Federation officials.
President Goodluck Jonathan and his entourage welcomed the victors on Wednesday at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, where they lodged.
Mr. President congratulated the team for making the country proud and promised them befitting incentives.
According to the president he will once again host them on November 5.
“I want to welcome you girls (Super
Falcons), from Namibia for doing us proud. I will host you girls
on November 5,” his excellency said.
