Minister of Education Malam Adamu Adamu has inaugurated a committee to investigate the management of ten universities and polytechnics over cases of sexual harassment.
The committee has also been charged to look into allegations of abuse of due process, and financial mismanagement.
The schools to be reviewed are
Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State,
Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State,
University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state,
Federal University Kashere, Gombe State,
University of Abuja, FCT ,
University of Nsukka, Enugu state.
Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State,
Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State,
Yaba College of Technology, Lagos State
University of Calabar, Cross River State.
The Education minister said the probe became necessary after numerous complaints were received by the public.
