Nigerian reality TV star, Seyi Awolowo, has issued a public apology to his fellow housemates and viewers of the show following a controversial remark he made about women during a conversation after a Saturday night party. The incident has stirred outrage and led to calls for his disqualification from the show.

Seyi, who is a father to a son, made a loose comment about wanting to give birth to boys so that they can engage in promiscuous activities with other people’s daughters. He stated that he had even opened a bank account for his son and future sons to fund their philandering endeavors, offering them his cars for their escapades.

The 33-year-old housemate acknowledged that he made the comments while under the influence of alcohol and admitted that he deeply regretted his actions. He expressed his realization of the gravity of his statement and the harm it caused, both to viewers and his fellow housemates.

During his diary session with Big Brother, Seyi expressed his remorse and tendered an apology for his offensive remarks. Subsequently, he approached his fellow housemates, owning up to his “disgusting” and “embarrassing” comments. He reassured them that he would take full responsibility for his words and urged them not to hold any resentment against him when they see the video after the show concludes.

 

Moreover, Seyi confessed to Alex, one of his fellow housemates, that he felt he had disappointed his family due to his actions and was considering leaving the show voluntarily.
