The Reds top the table having won each of their first six matches and come into this game on the back of a 2-0 Carabao Cup victory over MK Dons with a completely changed line-up.

Liverpool extended their winning run in the division to 15 games with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Chelsea six days ago.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino got the goals

For Sheffield United, captain Billy Sharp is ruled out through suspension and forward David McGoldrick is unlikely to play because of a groin issue.

Sadio Mane and Divock Origi are in contention to feature in the clash after their injuries, while James Milner is also available despite the knock he suffered at MK Dons in midweek.
Xherdan Shaqiri is sidelined with a calf issue and the contest will come too soon for Alisson Becker, who could resume full training on Sunday.

In Liverpool’s current run of 15 consecutive Premier League wins, they’ve scored 42 goals. The front three of Mane (12), Salah (nine) and Firmino (six) have scored 64 per cent of those goals.
The Reds have lost only one of the last 45 league matches and two of the last 52. They have taken 118 points from the last 135 possible.

Should Liverpool take all three points today, it will be the first time since 1990 that they have won their first four away matches of a league season.
Klopp’s side are unbeaten in their last 23 Premier League games. Only between May 1987 and March 1988 have the club enjoyed a longer run without defeat in top-flight history (31 games).

Sheffield United are back in the top flight for the first time since 2006-07. As they prepare to welcome the champions of Europe to Bramall Lane, their manager Chris Wilder wants this kind of high-profile fixture to become a regular occurrence.
He said: “Playing the European champions at home was always going to be one of those fixtures we were looking at.

“I want my team to be competitive as always, as we have been this season.
“But for me, this a reward for the club and the supporters who have followed their club through thick and thin. The long-term challenge is for this to be a regular fixture.”

Liverpool has had a blistering start to the season and currently sit top of the log. The European champions will be looking to make it seven wins from seven to continue an enthralling start to the season.
