On the heel of prodigious allegations trailing the First Lady from her recent trip to the UK, former media aide of Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has swung a rare support for the president’s wife, Aisha.
Omokri, in one of his recent tweets, admitted how highly he held regards of the Nigerian First Lady, and warned Nigerians to rather focus their energy on her husband the president.
He said: “Aisha Buhari is a decent courageous woman who carries herself well in my opinion. The media should leave her alone and focus on her husband.”
It would be recalled that Aisha Buhari was recently criticized for lavishly spending £49,000 (about 31 million Naira) on entertainment during her recent visit to the UK.
The First Lady has however denied the accusations via a statement released by her media aide yesterday, January 6th.
