A Nigerian-American preacher, John K. Amanchukwu Sr., has demanded the resignation of Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona over the latter’s remark about the effect of books on students.

In a Wednesday post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Secretary of Education said that “books teach our students tolerance,” noting that limiting students’ access to books would limit their knowledge.

“Books teach our students tolerance. When we limit the books on our students’ shelves, we limit their knowledge and perspective,” Cardona wrote.

The post, which has been seen over one million times, attracted diverse reactions, including from preacher and activist, Amanchukwu Sr.

Amanchukwu Sr. is the author of “Eraced: Uncovering the Lies of Critical Race Theory and Abortion”, a book that has inspired a movement among parents and educators across the country to fight back against queer theory, gender theory, and other doctrines in public schools.

He regularly speaks to school boards across the country with a message that calls for schools to focus on education, rather than indoctrination.

The North Carolina pastor became famous nationwide after a video went viral of a heated argument that ensued at a school board meeting where he was interrupted while reading a passage from a sexually explicit book available to children.

Countering Cardona’s comment, Amanchukwu Sr. said pornographic images, anal sex, and books that glorify transgenderism have no positive impact on children aged 5 to 18.

He demanded Cardona’s resignation.

“How do pornographic images, anal sex, and books that glorify transgenderism, positively impact 5-18 yr. old students?

“I’m calling for the resignation of Secretary Miguel Cardona. You’re evil, vile, and disgusting.

“Tolerance shouldn’t equal perversion!

“Who did this guy’s background check? 🤢” the preacher wrote.
