Ghanaian actress, producer and filmmaker, Yvonne Nelson dropped her first ever novel titled I Am Not Yvonne Nelson, and in all honesty, the internet was thrown ablaze with the revelations the book contained. Not only this, the eruptions of how in her book, she dragged to filth some of Africa’s finest public figures, dedicating some chapters of the book to these celebrities.

1. First and foremost, Yvonne Nelson is not actually Yvonne Nelson.
Wait. We’ll explain.
So in this book, it appears that Yvonne Nelson’s father is not her biological father as she grew up to know and love, it’s more perplexing how discovering the truth from her biological mother, plunged both females into a strained relationship with the once blossoming bond between mother and daughter now imbalanced.
As of now, Yvonne Nelson is not Yvonne Nelson and she has no idea who her father is. Quite a relatable topic, don’t you agree?
2. Sarkodie Scandal!
Tems said “crazy things are happening” and the world went haywire ever since. In this our very eyes, Sarkodie and Yvonne Nelson indeed had a relationship, and it doesn’t stop there, one thing led to the other and the actress got pregnant!
Here’s the twist, the Ghanaian rap star had her abort the baby and just like that, Sarkodie’s cast. The buzz surrounding these two has been rather loud since the drop of her novel and sincerely, all insults hurled at Sarkodie is quite fair.
Little wonder as far back as 2013/2014, Sarkodie stayed on the internet, gushing over Yvonne Nelson and turning up for every occasion involving her!
3. Love Triangle Between Iyanya, Tonto Dikeh and Yvonne Nelson.
Thought we were done with Sarkodie and the writer’s saga? There’s more. Apparently, a chapter (chapter 10) was dedicated to Nigeria’s Kukere crooner, Iyanya and allegations were put on his head regarding his infidelity while dating Yvonne.
In her words, he cheated on her with Tonto Dikeh, whilst they were ‘together’ — the scale just balanced following when Iyanya sang Ur Waist and he adorned Yvonne Nelson’s waist. (Remember Yvonne Nelson I Have Your Medicine?)
Yvonne further explained that Tonto Dikeh in a nutshell urged her to move on following the fact that it was her time to dilly dally with the singer.
It appears that Yoruba men are not the only demons, even Calabar men too.
4. Yvonne Nelson would have been a politician, thanks to John Dumelo!
Don’t be distracted by the above subheading— what we meant was Yvonne Nelson was urged by prominent people in the Ghanaian government to run for office in 2020 and her only reason for not doing so, was because her colleague in the film industry, John Dumelo, was vying for the same office and her loyalty, was too much to contend head on with the other candidate.
It’s all in the book! Just highlighted for a brief moment though.
5. Everyone in the Nollywood industry is well, being pimped or is pimping.
Calling out majority of Nollywood actors and actresses, Yvonne Nelson with her full chest, called out the entire Nollywood industry and addressed the illicit exploration done by her colleagues in the game. Her book, touched this depth while also speaking on how she ensured her navigation as an actress did not include this.
Though not calling names, for the sake of discretion and probably avoiding drags for those involved, she ascertained that the Nollywood industry was indeed full of pimps.
