In a surprising turn of events, Sean “Diddy” Combs and R&B singer Cassie swiftly resolved the lawsuit just a day after it was filed in Manhattan federal court.
The lawsuit, which accused the renowned music producer and rapper of a decade of abuse, exploitation, and manipulation, including sexual battery, assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, rape and physical abuse, came to an unexpected conclusion on Friday night.
Cassie’s legal team made the announcement, stating that both parties had “resolved the claims… to their mutual satisfaction.” However, the terms of the settlement remain undisclosed.
On the ground that no one knows the terms of their settlement, the Herald reports that fans are now making assumptions that Cassie got paid off to buy her silence.
While some fans applaided the act, others are saying Cassie shouldn’t have agree to the settlement, that if everything she allegedly accused Sean for were true, then he deserves to be exposed.
The quick resolution leaves lingering questions about the details of the alleged abuse and the factors that led to the swift agreement between the two high-profile figures.

Cassie settling doesn’t take away about what happened to her, what she experienced, and what she is most likely still experiencing. If anything, the swiftness in which Diddy settled speaks volumes. He didn’t want even more shit to come to light.
