Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Vee, has recently found herself in the spotlight on social media after taking a subtle jab at All Stars housemate, Venita Akpofure. The drama unfolded when Vee shared a quote from Nigerian superstar singer, Asake’s popular song, “Lonely at the top,” on her social media account. The line read, “I don’t care what they are yearning about me in particular.”
In response to Vee’s tweet, a Twitter user, seemingly not a fan of Vee, decided to spread rumors, claiming that Vee is an escort. The tweet read, “Dem say you be olosho,” which is a derogatory term used to describe someone involved in commercial sex work.
Vee promptly addressed the rumor, denying the allegations and clarifying that the comment was not aimed at her but rather at another individual who shares the same nickname, Venita Akpofure. Interestingly, Venita Akpofure is none other than her ex-lover’s cousin. This revelation seemed to have surprised many, sparking further reactions from social media users.
However, Vee’s comment about Venita did not sit well with some netizens, who criticized her for publicly bringing up past issues and personal matters. Undeterred by the backlash, Vee firmly defended her stance, expressing that she doesn’t care about others’ opinions, especially since Venita had treated her poorly in the past.
The tension between Vee and Venita dates back to their time on the reality show, where Vee was in a romantic relationship with Venita’s cousin, Neo Akpofure, another former BBNaija star. Throughout Vee and Neo’s relationship, Venita never concealed her disapproval of Vee, making their interactions on and off-screen quite tense.
