In line with extant laws and regulations, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Mutawallen Sokoto) has approved the setting up of a Visitation Panel to examine the administrative structure, finances and academic performances of Sokoto State University, Sokoto.
The panel is to carry out a full and detailed forensic audit of financial management of the institution from when it was established to date.
The panel is also to examine the admissions procedures and the general administration of examinations and make appropriate recommendations for improvement.
The Panel will advise the Government on policies and practices as well as total academic and physical development and direction of the institution to ascertain whether or not the desired targets have been met and what modifications could be made to achieve maximum productivity, excellence and service to the state.
The Panel will look into, and advise government on any other issue that will assist authorities in implementing far reaching reforms that will lead to the realization of the mandate of the University.

The Panel has four weeks within which to submit its report.
All relevant stakeholders are by this notice, advised to cooperate with the Panel for a smooth exercise.
