Nollywood actresses, Tonto Dikeh and Nkechi Blessing Sunday have berated former presidential aide, Reno Omokri for comparing them to 2023 presidential aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Omokri, who is a socio-political commentator, had drawn the comparison while commenting on Tinubu’s controversial speech in Abeokuta on Thursday.
While addressing Ogun APC delegates ahead of the party’s presidential primaries, Tinubu said it was his turn to be president.
He noted that neither President Muhammadu Buhari nor Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun would have emerged without his help.
The former Lagos governor added that he was done rooting for others and expected to be supported to actualise his presidential ambition.
Reacting in a Facebook post, Omokri said, “Tinubu is just behaving like Tonto Dikeh and Nkechi Blessing. Like a woman who was promised marriage and jilted and is now exploding and exposing the jilter.”
In a response via her verified Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh called Omokri “Atiku’s houseboy”.
According to her, the former new media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan is “always on the wrong side of history”.
She dared US-based Omokri to return to Nigeria.
Nkechi Blessing Sunday warned Reno Omokri not to step into her lane or prepare to be insulted.
