Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has been transferred to the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison, according to reports. This development comes after Bobrisky’s arrest over a week ago on charges of naira abuse.
Earlier reports detailed Bobrisky’s initial detainment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly spraying, mutilating, and tampering with large amounts of Nigerian naira notes. He pleaded not guilty to the charges during his arraignment.
The specific reasons for Bobrisky’s transfer to Kirikiri Prison remain unclear. Previously, he was being held at a police station. Authorities have not yet released a formal statement regarding the transfer or the status of the naira abuse case other than him being bound to spend six months in the prison with no option of bail.
