Borno Is Safe For Corpers – NYSC State Coordinator

1 Min Read

The Borno State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Lawal Turawa, has declared the state safe for corps members who wish to serve their fatherland there.

This is coming at a time prospective corps members have been known to change their state of posting when posted to Borno, Yobe and Adamawa for the mandatory one-year service because of the Boko Haram insurgency in these north-eastern states.

Turawa made this known on Thursday during the Passing Out Parade (POP) for 318 corps in the state.

“We want to say that Borno State is safe for Corps members in spite of what people are saying about the State.

“There are 318 corps members who are Passing Out today.

“People out there wouldn’t believe we have more than 300 Corps members who are from Northeast Borno.

“You can understand why I am saying Borno State is safe for Corps members,” he stressed.
