BREAKING NEWS: Ekiti State Has Been Shut Down as Fayemi Declares Curfew

Thugs believed to be loyal to the People’s Democratic Party and the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW have turned Ekiti State into a war zone. They are on rampage charging around the city and unleashing violence on residents and properties.

It is believed the assassination of an ex-NURTW chairman Omolafe Aderiye, who was killed in his office in Ijigbo area of the state capital, Ado-Ekiti is responsible for the carnage going on.

The former NURTW chairman was believed to be a staunch supporter of the governor-elect, Mr Ayo Fayose and took active part in his campaign coordination.
It will be recalled earlier on Thursday, the inaugural sitting of Ekiti State election petition tribunal in Ado Ekiti was on Thursday disrupted as the meeting was invaded by some thugs, who beat up a judge, Justice John Adeyeye, and prevented journalists from performing their duties.

Meanwhile, the campaign office of Governor Kayode Fayemi and the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, located at the Ajilosun area of the city, have been touched. He has declared a 7am to 7pm curfew.
