Commissioner For Health In Kano Tests Negative For Coronavirus

The Commissioner for Health in Kano State, Aminu Tsanyawa, has tested negative for Coronavirus.

 

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, who stated that Tsanyawa was among the 16 patients who were discharged after recovering fully from coronavirus.

 

Garba also disclosed that co-chairman of the Kano State Task Force on COVID-19, Abdulrazak Habeeb, is also one of the 16 discharged patients, bringing the total discharge in the state to 22.

The Herald ealier reported that Nigeria has recorded 381 fresh COVID-19 cases in the country, it’s highest new infection rate since the virus hit in late February.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), this brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 3526 cases.

 

The breakdown of the new cases include;

19-Zamfara
19-Bauchi
11-Katsina
9-Borno
8-Kwara
7-Kaduna
6-Gombe
5-Ogun
4-Sokoto
3-Oyo
3-Rivers
2-Niger
1-Akwa Ibom
1-Enugu
1-Plateau

601 individuals have been treated and recovered from the virus while 107 death have been recorded.
