Debutant Victor Moses shines in Stoke’s 3-0 victory over Portsmouth

Jonathan Walters, Peter Crouch and Victor Moses lead Stoke City to a 3 – 0 victory over Portsmouth in the Capital One Cup second round on Wednesday.

Walters scored the opener for the Potters putting them in good advantage when he converted Marc Muniesa’s cross in the near post 16 minutes into the game.

Victor Moses who made his debut for Stoke was in full form all through the match.
Although not being able to find the net as his two efforts were saved by goal keeper Paul Jones, he earned the Man of the Match title.

His efforts however yielded another goal for the home side when his pull-back was skillfully plunged into the net by Walters.

The visitors came out in full force to keep the score range bearable with Jones making fantastic saves for his side.

Portsmouth hopes were shattered when Peter Crouch’s added a last minute header with a brilliant cross from Walters.

The republic of Ireland International Jonathan Walters on making his first appearance for stoke claimed a spot in the first line-up for this weekend’s Premier League match against Manchester City.
