Dorathy Bachor, a former contestant on the popular reality show Big Brother Naija, recently shared her joy and excitement as she announced the successful acquisition of a visa to Canada. Taking to her Instagram story, Dorathy recounted the challenges she faced in her previous attempts to obtain a visa in 2019 and 2020, highlighting the obstacles she overcame along the way.

In 2019, Dorathy stated she found herself at a crossroads in her life. Frustrated with her job and feeling demoralized after being demoted to a front desk position for what she considered a ridiculous reason, she made the difficult decision to quit and decided to pursue her dream of studying abroad in Canada.

However, she faced financial constraints and had no idea where she would find the money to make her dream a reality. Determined to overcome these hurdles, Dorathy purchased the IELTS form and started preparing for the exam, taking a leap of faith towards her aspirations.

During this challenging time, a friend of her sister’s who had recently received his passport back from the Canadian embassy. Celebrating his success, Dorathy took a small piece of the nylon that had encased his passport and hung it by her window, using it as a symbol of inspiration and a reminder of what she hoped to achieve.

As fate would have it, the year 2020 arrived, bringing with it a new opportunity for Dorathy to pursue her dreams. However, her plans were put on hold when she became a contestant on Big Brother Naija.

Now, in 2023, Dorathy looks back on her journey with a sense of fulfillment and gratitude. She is amazed by how life can take unexpected turns and how her determination and faith have led her to this moment.
