‘Fake’ soldier kills Good Samaritan who gave him lift to Akwa Ibom (Photos)

A man said to be a fake soldier has been arrested in Akwa Ibom State after he allegedly killed and stole the car of a Good Samaritan who gave him a lift.

It was learnt that the victim was en route Ikot Abasi in Akwa Ibom State from Port Harcourt in Rivers State when he came across a man in military fatigue with the service name Stephen I. at Eleme Junction.

The supposed military personnel was said to have begged the innocent motorist for a lift and he obliged.

The supposed military personnel allegedly killed the motorist along the way and made away with his Toyota Matrix car with registration number BWR 480 GN.

However, luck was said to have run out on him after he was tracked down with the help of the car tracker installed by the owner.

Stephen was subsequently arrested at an unnamed hotel in Akwa Ibom.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has yet to confirm the incident.
