The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday November 30th as the date when supplementary elections will hold in Anambra State.
The electoral governing body had to set up supplementary elections in order to counter the effects of widespread election rigging which was overseen by at least one of their officials. One errant official has been handed over to the Nigerian Police force.
It is not yet known how many political parties will participate in the upcoming elections as some of the political parties have vowed to boycott the elections and only participate if an entirely new election is held.
