Eight people were reported dead in a boat mishap which occurred between Eko Bridge and Ikorodu Waterway around 1800hrs yesterday.
26 occupants were reportedly on the boat which departed Ebute Ero heading to Majidun before it capsized.
The boat which belonged to Bell Marine Services, a registered boat operator was said to have run into a rough patch of waves causing it to capsize. It is uncertain how many passengers were wearing life jackets.
Divers were able to rescue 12 people from death.
13 people also died in a boat mishap which occured about 3 weeks ago at the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos.
