The All Progressives Congress is leaving no stone unturned as they look forward bringing to an end the 16-year rule of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) at the federal level.

According to the Oyo state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Akin Oke, President Goodluck Jonathan would be voted out of power as “Nigerian voters are expected to effect a desirous change through the ballot boxes and throw up only the genuine democrats and patriots as their political leaders.”

The party stated that Nigerians had in recent months indicated their willingness to reclaim the country from the hands of bad leaders and ensure that the “most populous black nation does not sink further down or collapse completely.”

The party said, “Nigerians have had to groan under the forceful rule of the PDP since 1999 till date. It is an indisputable fact that the PDP cannot offer the nation the desired good governance or, at least, show improvement on its palpable incompetence, insincerity and lack of vision as it concerns channeling the cause of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Rather than show promise, the ruling party is busy destroying all the sectors of the nation’s economy and setting the people against themselves.

“With the calibre of patriots in the refreshing alternative called the APC and the choice of our prospective candidates for all elective posts in the 2015 general elections coupled with the resolve of the electorate to facilitate change, the end to PDP’s reign has come. Therefore, we congratulate the citizenry in advance while we urge them to keep the spirit of change for a better Nigeria.”

The APC however urged Nigerians to support whoever emerges as its presidential candidate in a bid to win next year’s presidential poll.

The Oyo state APC has alleged that the current PDP-led Federal Government had made no attempt to develop the South-West because of the hold the APC has on many of the states in the geopolitical zone.
