Mali records first case of Ebola

Mali is feared to have recorded her first case of Ebola Virus Disease.

Just as Nigeria & Senegal were recently declared Ebola free by the WHO, another African country, Mali, records her first patient of the deadly virus.

The Malian government confirmed that a two-year old girl tested positive to the virus.

The girl, reportedly from the western region of Kayes, had just recently returned from Guinea.

According to BBC, there’s a latest development in the research for Ebola cure.

A group of international scientists hopes that transferring antibodies from the survivors of the disease to patients will be effective to a cure.

The research will start in Guinea.
