1 Min Read

Guinea is set to put four villages under 21-day quarantine because new cases of Ebola were discovered in the villages.

Guinea is still struggling to get to Zero Cases despite millions of dollars spent in aid, although neighbouring Sierra Leone also found new cases after being declared Ebola Free.

Fox News reports that a health ministry document stated that “In practice, a hooping system will be organized resulting in a ban on movement by inhabitants in the affected locations.

“We have already started to apply the new measures today in Forecariah. The other locations will follow from tomorrow.”

According to a situation report issued by the World Health Organization on Wednesday, Forecariah, Dubreka and Boké account for the bulk of new Ebola infections in Guinea over the past three weeks.
