The say wonders shall never end in the land of the living, but nothing could have prepared officers of the Nigeria Police force, Abia state command for what they were about to encounter in the suburb of the state capital Umuahia.

Police officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department uncovered the decomposing body of one Pastor Blessed Kelechi in his residence at Umuobia Housing Estate, Olokoro, a suburb of Umuahia, the state capital.

The deceased pastor was said to be the founder and head pastor of one of the new generation churches that have sprung up in suburbs of the state capital in recent times; the Winds of Glory located at Ohokobe village in Umuahia.

Also found in his residence were the decomposed bodies of his assistant pastor, Ambassador Kalu Ikeagwu, and one Ruth Andrew said to be the church’s women leader.

The police revealed that several relatives of the decomposing corpses had reported their deaths to the police after which officers moved to remove the bodies.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State CID, Patrick Edung, who led the police operatives to the scene to evacuate the bodies, said the police had commenced investigation into the matter.
