Ayodeji Balogun, the celebrated Nigerian music sensation also known as Wizkid, took to Instagram on Sunday to announce that he will be taking a substantial break from the music industry. He shared his intentions to step back from music for a period spanning four to five years.
In his Instagram posts, Wizkid wrote, “Back in 4 years, make una papa chop him money small or maybe five or I fit still go dey play ball now. Or make I start dey play golf, Fifa or wrestling b*tch! All of una dey craze! Everybody dey mad.”
Amidst this candid revelation, Wizkid also expressed his sincere hope for his fans’ well-being. He emphasized the importance of taking time to cherish moments with loved ones, insinuating that his own decision was influenced by a desire for a break.
Wizkid recently faced a challenging period as he mourned the passing of his mother, which led to the cancellation of some of his scheduled music performances.
