Nigerian Stock Exchange Adds 0.15% Today

The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange ended the week on a positive note, adding 0.15% compared to a list of 0.74% yesterday and a 1.14% loss for the week. The All Share Index added 45 basis points to end the day at 28,841.67 basis points. Market Capitalization for the market at the close of trading today was N9.91 Trillion.

The total of number of deals recorded today on the floor of the local bourse were 2,501 a reduction from 2,990 deals sealed yesterday; the total volume of shares traded on the floor today were 236,871,472 while the total value of transactions recorded today was N4.1 Billion.

FO led the gainers chart today adding N2.02 to close at N290 followed by SEPLAT and INTBREW which added N2 and N1.52 to close at N227 and N16.74 respectively; PZ and ET added N1 and N0.58 to close at N26 and N17.60 respectively.

The losers chart was led by GUINNESS who lost N2.29 to close with a share price of 134.98 followed by NB and UACN who lost N1.13 and N0.81 to close with share prices of N127.7 and N27.1 respectively; ETRANZACT and ZENITHBANK lost N0.12 and N0.10 to close with share prices of N2.45 and N17 respectively.

The top five most actively traded shares by volume on the exchange today were ZENITHBANK with shares valued at N1.5 billion, FBNH with shares valued at N148 Million, GUARANTY with shares valued at N308 Million, TRANSCORP with shares valued at N20 Million and ACCESS with shares valued at N48 Million.

Market breadth closed positive as FO led 22 Gainers against 17 Losers led by GUINNESS for the second day in a row.
