Popular actor, Yul Edochie has urged people to be grateful for every act of kindness shown to them as nobody owes anyone else anything.

The self-proclaimed pastor said this in a Facebook post on Thursday while condemning entitlement mentality.

The term “entitlement mentality” typically refers to a mindset characterised by a strong belief that one is deserving of certain privileges or special treatment without necessarily having earned them.

It can manifest in various contexts, such as entitlement to resources, opportunities, or recognition, often without a corresponding sense of responsibility or effort.

Edochie noted that people should not take offence if anyone they looked up to failed to help them.

According to him, people should rather focus on choosing a job or business they love and give it the utmost focus so that they won’t have to depend on anyone.

Edochie said:

May be an image of text that says 'Always remember, nobody owes you anything. If people help yли, no matter how small, be grateful. If they don't help you, it's not the end of the world. Pray to God, acknowledge your ancestors, keep your hands clean, choose a hustle you love & keep working hard on it. Your blessings will come. YUL EDOCHIE.'
