The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo as a worse dictator than former Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha.

Oshiomhole made this known during an appearance on Channels Television on Monday while reacting to Obasanjo’s claim that Nigeria under Buhari was being returned to the Abacha days of impunity.

Obasanjo added that Buhari learnt impunity from Abacha.

The former president said, “Today, another Abacha era is here. The security institutions are being misused to fight all critics and opponents of Buhari and to derail our fledgeling democracy.”

But Oshiomhole dismissed Obasanjo’s observation that Nigeria under Buhari was descending into an era of impunity.

According to him, “Obasanjo can’t look me in the eyes and say those things, he is a worse dictator, he was worse than Abacha.”

He wondered how Obasanjo could rule Nigeria for eight years and fail to “fix Nigeria” but expect Buhari to do so in less than four years.

Reacting to the suspension of Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, Oshiomhole said that he should resign and save the judiciary the “trauma”.

He said it was improper for the nation’s number one judge to keep multiple but undeclared foreign accounts.

Oshiomhole stressed, “You can’t fight corruption selectively, Onnoghen should spare the Judiciary the trauma.”

The APC National Chairman added, “Nigeria’s democracy cannot be stable if the rules are only made for the poor.”
