The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu yesterday accused the outgoing PDP administration of laziness, warning the electorate not to extend the laziness by voting for the PDP candidate.

Speaking in Araromi Obu, Akeredolu assured the people that he would put in place sustainable infrastructure.

He said the Olusegun Mimiko led government has failed to fulfill its responsibility to the people of the area in terms of infrastructural development.

Akeredolu said: “Mimiko has spent eight years, he’s now presenting his political son, who also spent eight years with him. They spent eight years in government without giving you electricity, do you want to be in another eight years of darkness?”

“We must go back to the basic, we must return to the farm, we can no longer wait for revenue from Abuja, we will create jobs through agriculture. This present government in Ondo State is a lazy government, by now, we should be part of the state that has ventured into the rice production.”

The APC candidate, who described the marginalization of the area by the present state government urged the people to reject Mimiko and the PDP candidate, Mr Eyitayo Jegede (SAN).

The former President of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) assured the teeming crowd of solid and robust dividends of democracy if voted into power.

He said: “within one hundred days in office, you will see nurses and doctors in your hospital, your hospital will start to function.”
