Pep Guardiola Finally Confirms Intention To Coach In England

Bayern Munich manager, Pep Guardiola has finally revealed the reason behind his decision not to renew his three-year contract with the Bavarian team, which runs out at the end of this current league season – he wants to coach in the English Premier League.

The Spaniard disclosed this in a press conference on Tuesday, weeks after the club’s management announced Carlo Ancelotti as his replacement.

Guardiola said, “The reason I have not extended my contract is simple.

“I want to manage in the Premier League.”

Also, he said he had been offered managerial positions in some clubs in England, but was yet to make his decision on which of the clubs to go to.

While it is not clear which club he will eventually choose, Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have been tipped as potential destinations for Guardiola, who won 14 trophies in four seasons at Barcelona.

“I think I am young enough. I need a new challenge. My career is a long way from over. I want to experience England’s stadiums and emotions. I think at my age, it is the right moment to go.

“When I have a new club, the club will communicate that. At the moment, I can’t say anything else because nothing is fixed,” he added.
