Police commence investigation into alleged NSCDC killing of commercial motorcyclist

The Lagos State Police Command on Friday said it has begun investigation into the alleged killing of a motorcyclist by a personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The command’s spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the alleged killing happened during a shooting at a filling station in FESTAC Town, Lagos on Wednesday.

Reports from Area E, Festac Town, indicates that at AP filling Station, some yet to be identified Civil Defence men in a patrol vehicle had scuffle with some men.

“The scuffle led to indiscriminate firing from the Civil Defence personnel that killed one motorcyclist simply identified as Emeka, while three others were severely injured.

“The men of Area E Police Command were called upon. The Area Commander, ACP Chris Owolabi, is currently on ground and had restored normalcy.

Meanwhile, the command has said that it had commenced investigation to identify the Civil Defence operatives that carried out the shooting. (NAN)
