The Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo, has charged the youths to avoid becoming willing tools in the hands of corrupt politicians.
He said the youths should take note that no politician would allow his or her children become political thugs or insult people without provocation.
The governor made this known in a Saturday evening post on his personal Twitter handle.
He said, “None of us politicians will ever allow our children to be political thugs or insult other people online or offline because of politics. Neither will we allow our children to be killed because of politics. Say NO when they approach you. Nigerian youths should be wise.”
Meanwhile, Dankwambo on Sunday also shared a video of some group of young political thugs massively thumb printing what appeared to be ballot papers while speaking rapidly in Hausa.
Reacting to the video he shared on his Twitter page, he said: “The politicians encouraging and supporting these youths to do this are only destroying their lives. You will not see the children of any politician doing this. They hire you to destroy your country.
