On Wednesday in Chibok, 3 suicide bombers killed 13 people and left 30 wounded according to local reports.

The explosions hit a market in the northern town on Wednesday. Two out of the three suicide bombers were suspected to be women because they approached the market dressed in veils.

“Two veiled girls suspected to be suicide bombers entered Chibok market at about 12:54 P.M. today,” a police official informed Reuters.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack although the nature of attack bears a resemblance to tactics usually used by the terrorist group Boko Haram.

About two years ago 200 girls were kidnapped from the Chibok town ever since the whereabouts of the girls still remains a unknown. This prompted the #bringbackourgirls campaign world wide.

The Nigerian Army recently claimed they have degraded the terrorist group and they would never be able to carry out heavy attacks like before again. In turn, Boko Haram has resorted to hitting soft targets such as markets or mosques.
