Ten Hag: Manchester United Slump To 2-1 Defeat At Resurgent Forest

Manchester United lost their last Premier League fixture of the year at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Red Devils were defeated 2-1 at City Ground.

Erik ten Hag was hoping to hit a run of form, following their come-from-behind 3-2 win over Aston Villa in midweek.

However, United failed to trouble Forest and went one goal down, thanks to Nicolas Dominguez’s unerring finish in the second half.

Marcus Rashford pounced on a Matt Turner blunder to make it 1-1.

The hosts found the winner minutes later as Morgan Gibbs-White slammed a first-time finish past Andre Onana.

The result keeps United in 7th place with 31 points.

“I am still the right man for Manchester United” — Ten Hag

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s manager, remains resolute in his belief that he’s the right person to steer the club through troubled waters. Addressing swirling rumors of his potential sacking and the need to sway the club’s new co-owners, INEOS, the Dutchman expressed his confidence.

“They know me, and they understand that when I have a fully available squad, results will follow,” Ten Hag remarked, underlining his belief in the team’s potential once they regain full strength.

He reflected on the team’s performance, acknowledging a shift from last season’s over-performance to the current under-performance, asserting the need for a collective improvement.

“We were over-performing last year, so far this season we are under-performing. We have to step up,” emphasized Ten Hag.

Right now, no one knows what to expect from Manchester United, with every of the Red Devils’ games shrouded in mystery and suspense.
