Tinubu to swear in ministers August 21

President Bola Tinubu will on Monday, August 21, swear in ministers who have just been assigned portfolios.

Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), William Bassey disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

He said that the inauguration ceremony would take place in the Conference Room of the State House at 10 am.

Bassey added that the ministers are to come with two guests each.

The Herald had reported that Tinubu unveiled the portfolios of ministers that will make up his soon-to-be-inaugurated cabinet on Wednesday.

The president appointed the immediate-past Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo SAN as Minister of Aviation.

Similarly, the immediate-past Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola was appointed as Minister of Transportation and Founder of CcHub, Bosun Tijani named Minister of Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.

A breakdown of the list shows North-West has 10 ministers, while North-East has six. The North-Central and South-West have eight and nine ministers respectively, while South-East and South-South have five each.
