Buhari forced me to contest in Kaduna’s Governorship polls – El-Rufai

The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has during his closing remarks yesterday at the Kaduna State Investment Programme revealed that it was President Muhammadu Buhari that forced him into contesting for the Kaduna State Governorship Office last year.

He added that the President forced him to run for the office as a revenge plot for his persuasion for him to run for the Office of the President.

The Governor who had just few days ago boasted of the amount of Gold present in one local government in the State, adding that it surpassed that of South Africa during the Programme said:

“It was President Muhammadu Buhari that forced me to contest for the governorship race of Kaduna state in revenge for persuading him to run the presidential race. If he had not asked me to run for the governorship , I wouldn’t have stood before you today as the governor of Kaduna state”
