Afenifere Renaissance Youth Congress (ARYG) has accused Former President Olusegun Obasanjo of liaising with members of All Progressives Congress to destroy the Peoples Democratic Party.
This accusation was made following Obasanjo’s recent attack on President Goodluck Jonathan.
The group also asked the Former President to join APC rather than working to destroy PDP from within.
The group leader, Mr. Abimbola Owolabi said “Obasanjo is not only denigrating the presidency, the person of Jonathan and the ruling party, which he claims to be a member by his constant lies, unwarranted attacks and mischievous blackmail to portray President Jonathan as weak, corrupt and dictatorial, but also manifestly executing the propaganda of the APC whose members he now hobnobs with.”
Owolabi also questioned why Obasanjo could not respect the part of the PDP constitution that warns against dragging the name of the party to the mud.
