Mr Ben Kure, Director-General, APC Campaign Council in Kaduna State, on Wednesday said the All Progressive Congress (APC) is sure of costing to victory in the forthcoming general elections in the state.
According to him, the party has no opposition in the state, as other opposition parties were allegedly only struggling to survive.
Kure said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Kaduna that both President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov. Nasiru El-Rufa’i “are unstoppable”, as they would sweep all elections in the state.
According to him, the competition to the APC in the state has been “dismal”.
“We have already won the election, what remains is for us to maximize the votes by appealing to the electorate to come out en mass to vote for APC on election days.”
Kure stressed that both Buhari and El-Rufa’i were also far above their opponents in the forthcoming elections in terms of performance and integrity.
“Buhari is far above Abubakar Atiku the PDP flag bearer in all respects; he is not morally qualified to compete with Buhari.
“Buhari is a global movement and that makes him phenomenal; he is a globally accepted brand like Indra Gandi of India, Martin Luther King of the U.S.A and Nelson Mandela of South Africa.
“Atiku the PDP presidential candidate cannot enter the ring with President Buhari.”
The Director General explained that in spite of its acceptability, the APC has been undertaking aggressive constituency and house-to-house campaigns across all the 23 local government areas of the state to get more support ahead of the polls.
“So, our approach is to be able to visit every household not just to talk to people at rallies,” he said, adding that the strategy had recorded huge success.
Kure added that the party had also been holding stakeholders meeting, devoid of political leanings, to sensitise key stakeholders on what the government had done and also look at issues confronting various constituencies.
“We have so far enjoyed good reception at all the LGs visited; even those that are not headed by APC chairmen are there to receive us and are also part of the stakeholders meeting.”
Kure said that the confidence of the APC was based on the massive achievements recorded by the administration of Gov. El-Rufa’i and the Federal Government.
He listed such to include the recruitment of 25,000 teachers, renovation of 1, 700 schools of which 500 were completed and the rest ongoing.
Kure added that the government has also been providing free meals to 1.6 million primary pupils across 3,762 schools.
On health, the campaign director said the state government is upgrading and equipping its 225  Primary Health Care Centers (PHCs) of which work has been fully completed on 170, with 85  ongoing.
“In the area of road network the state Ministry of Community and Rural Development has completed 475 Kilometers of rural roads across the state and about same number is ongoing in different parts of the state.”
On security, Kure said the state government in collaboration with the federal government have drastically curtailed the problems of banditry, kidnapping and robbery in the state.(NAN)
