The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, has deleted an online poll he created to gauge public opinion on the winner of the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.

Fanwo, who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), asked the question, “Dear Nigerians, who do you want as your next President?”

The respondents were given the option of choosing one of the four leading presidential candidates: Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of APC, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP).

The Herald learnt that 73,212 persons voted in the poll.

At the conclusion of the poll, 78 percent of respondents voted for Obi, 15 percent voted for Tinubu, 4 percent for Atiku and 3 percent for Kwankwaso.

The poll has since been deleted from the Kogi commissioner’s Twitter page.

However, a screengrab of the poll is reproduced below:
