6 Herdsmen, 150 Cows Killed In Nasarawa

Some unidentified military men have reportedly killed six Fulani herdsmen and 150 cows in Akpanagya, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

According to The Punch, quoting the Nasarawa Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Nasarawa State Command, ASP Usman Samaila, the solders that perpetrated the act came from Benue State.

“The command is aware of the incident that took place in the Keana Local Government Area of the state.

“I can confirm to you that our men went to the scene of the incident and recovered about six dead bodies killed by the suspected military men in the area,” the police spokesman was quoted as saying.

He added the military men conducted the ‘wild operation’ to prevent an unabated crisis between Fulani herders and Tiv farmers at Benue and Nasarawa states border.”
