The All Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange ended in the green today as it appreciated marginally by 0.40%. The Index closed at 29,511.08 basis points as opposed to the 29,393.77 basis points recorded at the close of business yesterday. Market Capitalization closed at N10.14 trillion.
The total value of transactions declined by 7.31% as against a 36.07% loss recorded yesterday. The total volume of shares traded however appreciated by 1.51% as against a decline of 37.75% recorded yesterday as a total of 277,808,269 shares were traded today. The number of deals recorded increased by 2.54% as 3,827 deals were recorded as against 3,733 deals recorded yesterday.
The top five most actively traded stock for today were ACCESS, FIDELITYBK, FBNH, UBA and TRANSCORP with a combined total of 166 million shares traded.
Market breadth closed in the positive as UNILEVER led 32 Gainers against 18 Losers led by GUINNESS.
Year-To-Date currently stands at -14.85%.
