Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has dedicated his High court victory to the people of Rivers State.

Governor Ayade said this not long after he was cleared by Justice Abdu Kafarati of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Ayade said “As far as the ruling of the Federal High Court is concerned, there is no victor and no vanquished. It was purely democracy in action and it is all part of the process to deepen our democracy.

“The winners in all of this are the people of Cross River State and God who gives wisdom and understanding to rule over people. It is for this reason that I am dedicating the victory to God and to the people. It is not my victory, it is a victory made possible by God for the people of Cross River State.”

He urged everyone to come together to ensure the growth and development of Cross Rivers state.

An Abuja based lawyer, and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Joe Agi dragged Ayade before the Federal High Court, Abuja seeking his disqualification in the April 11 governorship poll for false declaration of age which is contrary to PDP’s guidelines for participation in the governorship primary.
