Barrack Obama sends Goodwill message to Nigeria on her 54th Independence anniversary

President of the United States of America Barrack Obama felicitates with Nigeria as she marks her 54th Independence anniversary today, October 1 2014.

Barack Obama sent a goodwill message  from the United States to Nigeria, through a letter addressed to President Goodluck Jonathan and presented by the US Embassy in the country.

It read: “At the heart of our enduring friendship is our shared commitment to democratic values, the rule of law, and economic development.”

“We look forward to strengthening our relationship and working closely in the coming year, especially in promoting good governance and combating terrorism.

“As Nigerians observe this special day, we wish you a more peaceful and prosperous year.”

Acknowledging the relevance of Nigeria in Africa and her participation in United Nation activities, Obama promised continuity in the help to fight terrorism out of the country.
