Breaking: INEC Make Decision on Edo Election Postponement

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have come to a decision on the Edo elections to take place on the 10th of September, the body have greenlit the elections despite security concerns.

The Department of State Security, the Police and other security agencies had requested that the elections be postponed due to uncertainty in terms of security.

According to TheCableng, the commission have decided to go ahead with it with a source stating,  “INEC will soon release a statement to formally confirm that the election will hold on Saturday as scheduled”.

This means that the election slated for Saturday the 10th of September will hold as planned.
