The United States Secretary of State, John Kerry has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s inauguration as a very historic and promising occasion that laid out a powerful agenda for Nigeria.
Kerry said “The inauguration is historic and very promising. The President made a very important speech, laid out a very powerful agenda and the United States is prepared to work very closely to help to do and everything we can on the economy, Boko Haram and other issues. The President did a very great job today.”
Meanwhile Peoples Democratic Party has congratulated President Mohammadu Buhari, the party in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh said “The PDP wishes General Buhari a successful tenure as President of our dear nation. Indeed, we appreciate the fact that his success would be to the benefit of Nigeria as a nation. “It is against this backdrop that we wish him good health, vigour and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the nation in the next four years.
“We also join millions of Nigerians and the international community in commending and applauding immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan for a smooth transition as well as his democratic credentials and enduring legacies in ensuring the stability of the nation.”
