Burna Boy Responds to Brymo’s Claims: “They Say Anything to Get at the King”

1 Min Read

Grammy-winning Nigerian sensation, Burna Boy, has seemingly addressed the recent remarks made by fellow musician Brymo, asserting his dominance in the African music scene.

In a recent interview, Brymo made headlines by proclaiming himself as the superior artist, both in terms of vocals and songwriting, compared to Burna Boy and other African musicians.

Responding to Brymo’s assertions, Burna Boy took to his Instagram story to deliver a subtle yet pointed comeback. He suggested that Brymo’s comments were merely an attempt to gain attention and stir controversy, labeling it as a ploy for “clout.”

Burna Boy further remarked that Brymo’s style of music, which he described as “Yoruba proverb music,” was better suited for Fuji legends like K1 De Ultimate and Saheed Osupa, insinuating that Brymo’s claims of superiority were unfounded.
