The Special Adviser to the Lagos governor for Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe says those that have been “slaving and working for APC since 2015 even on empty stomachs” have not been recognized.

He stated this in a post on his Facebook page on Saturday.

The post was made barely a day after the All Progressives Congress (APC) released its 422-member Presidential Campaign Council.

Igbokwe wondered why such staunch loyalists, whom he did not name, did not make the list.

The governor’s aide urged leaders of the party to ensure that loyalists were rewarded for their sacrifices for the party.

He wrote, “Our leaders in APC should ask for the names of those who have been slaving and working for APC since 2015 even on empty stomachs. Get them into all the committees. We will give you their names.”

In a follow-up post, the former Spokesman of the Lagos chapter of APC reiterated his position.

“What is wrong in the house of APC that they cannot delegate people to go and fish out patriotic and hardworking Nigerians who have stood up for APC since 2015? We cannot take this shit any longer,” he wrote.

Igbokwe’s assertion attracted reactions from other members of the party who took to the comment section of the post to vent their frustration.

Obiaruko Ndukwe wrote, “They won’t. We are supposed to keep working and waiting for Godot. It’s very unfortunate.”

Amb Ogunolu Samsideen wrote, “God bless you my leader. I know you will fight for us.God bless you sir and may your days be long.”

Mojeed Olaniyi Saliu wrote, “Like seriously sir.”

However, some said that it was not possible for everybody to be on the list.

Olatoye Olabanji wrote, “I believe necessary consultation was made before the list was submitted and published.

“The best hands was given the tasks. Not everybody will make the list.

“Besides, majority of the people striving to see Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins the coming election aren’t doing so just to be selected for any appointment.

“It’s purely out of the belief that he’ll perform better.”

Balogun Abiodun Fatai wrote, “Must everyone be on d list?

“What about the state campaign lists and other sub-campaign lists?

“If truly we want to deliver for BAT, let’s do (it) with a clear mind not with “WE MUST BE THERE ATTITUDES.”
