This video advertising Qiaobi-brand laundry detergent has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
It features a Chinese woman standing by a washing machine with a black man splattered in paint confidently marching to woo her.
She looks accommodating at first but turns the tables on him by grabbing him and throwing him into the washing machine.
After a vigorous wash and rinse she opens the machine to reveal a fresh faced Chinese man.
The woman looked pleased with this and the commercial ends with the couple smiling at each other.
The video Sparked outrage amongst the online community due to its blatantly racist undertones. Interestingly enough it seems the ad is an exact ripoff of one that ran on Italian television around 9 years ago.
