Cameroonian  football star Samuel Eto’o, has been dropped by his club,  Antalyspor over his controversial  post on social media about skin color.

Acording to the AFP, the Turkish team said that Eto’o would be left out of the team for now  until further  notice.

The football  star,  who joined Antalyspor in June 2015, posted a screenshot image of his achievements  two days ago.

“Reminder, perhaps some people do not feel respect  for me because  I am black,  I am not one to come down from the level I have reached. I have been in the game for 18years”.

The footballer did not state specifically who the critical post was meant for,  but later posted another directed at Antalyspor chairman Alisafat Ozturk,  mentioning the previous  messages was not to him.

Antalyspor  gave a statement  on its website notifying  all about a meeting with its board members and their conclusion  to leave Samuel Eto’o out of the squad till further notice.

Turkish commentators,   interpreted  the posts by Eto, as a reply directed as a response  to Ozturk, who had earlier this year criticised Eto’s poor form.

Eto’o  has failed to lead his side to any kind of success with just one point from four matches.

“No player is above the interest  of Antalyspor. Everyone must know their place,” said Ozturk.
