Embattled Senator Ali Modu Sheriff is in fresh trouble as a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt  on Monday, affirmed his removal as the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The court, presided over by Justice Mahmoud Liman, also ruled that the National Convention of the party, held in Port Harcourt last May, was legal.

This is coming after a high court in Abuja, on June 29, removed Ali Modu Sheriff as PDP National chairman.

Justice Valentine Ashi, the presiding  judge, had nullified the 2014 amended constitution of the PDP through which Sheriff was appointed chairman.

Before now, Sheriff and other members of the PDP have been involved in a struggle for leadership after Sheriff was initially sacked at the PDP National convention in Rivers State.
